If the S&P/ASX 200 Index rises to 4752.3 in today's trading session it would be a sell for me and I will be going short and will only be looking at buying back if it were to weaken to 4716.7 in today's trading session.

Trading January 4, 2011 End of day position is long
Okay as I was blogging last year with the trading of the S&P/ASX 200 Index I was getting a few things wrong so I pretty much stopped blogging but kept trading.
The mistakes I was making back then, I am no longer making and then I was making new mistakes and have also eliminated them.
So this is now today the first trading session on 2011 been completed as I write this, and I am giving this blog another go.
So going into today's trading session, I was long the S&P/ASX 200 Index.
I got a short at 4773 and duly went short and I saw that I should be going long should the index drop back to 4730.8 and it duly did that and I duly wentt long again.
The index closed at 4742.50 and the end of day position is long the index.

Commentary on 20th January 2010 trading session
Today the ASX200 index traded in a range of 4865.60 at it's low to 4905.80 at it's high before closing at 4868.20.
Today the long position in the index was held with no turnover.

Commentary on 19th January 2010 trading session
Today at the close the ASX200 is at the low for the day of 4861.20.
This was after opening strongly and hitting a high of 4930.
In another good sign index found support and provided further buying opportunities at 4873.4 and infact the close below the level is further affirmation of pending strength in the market which is expected to see it rise to 4955 for now.

Commentary on 18th January 2010 trading session.
Today's trading session provided was with opportunity to add to the long position.
The ASX200 index traded to a low of 4865.60 and then rebounded and bounded into positive territory hitting a high of 4917.10 and finally closing in positive territory at 4911.10.
Finally at the end of session position is long the index with current expectation of a rise to 4955.

Commentary on 15th January 2010
Okay today the ASX200 index closed up 1.60 points to 4899.60 after a late rally.
Today there was an opportunity to add to the long positions at prices of 4874 and lower for the pending move up to 4955.
So at the end of the day the long is looking good for the move up to 4955.
